On Tuesday 1st of September 6:00pm, the foootball transfer window slammed shut in England. The frenzy of summer transfers was over(well… for 2015).
There were many transfers completed over the 2 months the window was open but there were also some that didn’t go through. The most notable of these was David De Gea’s move to Real Madrid that was completed 2 minutes after the window closed.
During the window, Man City and West Ham strengthened their teams massively with West Ham bringing in Dmitri Payet and Alex Song while Man City helped their title challenge massively with the additions of Raheem Sterling, Nicolas Otamendi and Kevin De Bruyne.
Outside of the Premier League, PSG signed Angel Di Maria and Barcelona signed Arturo Vidal and Ardu Turan even though Barcelona’s signings can’t play till January because of a transfer ban!!!
All of the rumours are over now though so you won’t hear any ‘Stones to Chelsea’ or ‘Berahino to Spurs’ until January. Although if you love a good transfer, don’t worry, the Portuguese window doesn’t end until the 22nd of September.
